Rabbits and kids

I was reading in my journal, and I found this old piece from when I worked at The Crow’s Nest.

Well, today I learned that Merylyn raises rabbits. For no reason, she told me she was gonna breed them now that she’s “put them on a diet.” Maybe it’s a good thing rabbits aren’t rational beings.

“Okay, honey, the food’s running out, so we should have babies.”

“Whut!?”

Yeah, if they thought like that, her plan wouldn’t work.

This point reminds me of something… Oh, yeah, there was a time when having more kids made sense in home economics. Not anymore, because kids are supposed to get a lot of education without doing anything for their parents, in schools where they usually don’t learn anything except little woke things and more nonsense. In other times, children would learn good things for their lives and contribute to the community’s wellbeing very early on.

Maybe soon the time will come to go back to vocational schools.

What say you?
