I hate pornography, and myself when I either fall for the temptation or even let it in “my space” (my coworkers play smut often enough) to keep a fake peace. And I suppose that kind of annoyance —even though I understand its “charm”— is because of the twisted relationship human nature makes a place for.
Every kind of love, no exceptions!, is finally a reflection of God’s love for Himself. The corruption of the best is the worst, and porn shows us a corruption of married love, often seen as the greatest expression of love between humans.
Being a corruption, we still see —like in a dirty mirror— the original, and so it attracts us more than the sheer pleasure of it. We even try to explain it away as “arte” or “beauty”! But because it’s a corruption of the best, it’s the worst thing, and for that reason the ugliest.
What say you?
