Not much time had passed after listening to Be Born in Me, by Francesca Battistelli. And then, of course, Marian asked one of her questions. “How many of you would appreciate that song more if you remembered that the soul is ‘feminine’ relative to God?”
“What the heck?” Desmond objected; “Seriously, how do you get these crazy things? Do you take space drugs?”
“Well, think of it this way. ‘Be born in me’ can have a perfect analogy in Christian life. Jesus Christ ‘was born in Mary’ because she said yes to God. Couldn’t He dwell in the soul and ‘be born in it’ in us if we said ‘yes,’ too? And then He’d come out in our actions.”
What say you?
